Reading the site
The website serves static pages, images and reference files. It has no account system and does not accept game ROMs or save files. The web host may process ordinary request information, such as IP addresses and requested URLs, as part of serving and securing the site.
Preferences on your device
The theme preference is stored in this browser under origin-heartgold-theme-v1. The guide stores one local playthrough’s filters, spoiler preference and completed quest IDs under origin-heartgold-progress-v1.
These preferences are not synchronized between devices. Use the guide’s export and import controls to transfer them yourself. Import reads the selected JSON file locally; the site does not upload it. Reset playthrough clears the tracker’s data. You can also remove site storage in your browser settings.
Search
Search downloads local reference indexes and searches them in your browser. Search terms are not sent to an external search provider. A search URL may include your query; that URL can be included in Google Analytics page information or revealed when you share the link. Avoid entering personal information into search.
Analytics and advertising
Google Analytics loads when you open a page. It uses cookies and information about page visits, browser/device details and interactions to help us understand how the site is used. Page addresses and referrers may be included. Google processes this information; see Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses cookies.
The site does not add custom tracking for quest choices, completion exports, local filenames, ROMs or save data. Analytics does not read the local playthrough tracker. The site includes the Google AdSense advertising script. You can manage cookies in your browser or use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on. This site does not currently provide an analytics consent control.
