Forms & evolutions

Item-based forms and the evolution rules in this version.

In v4.0.3, certain held items trigger specific forms. These are the documented forms for this release, separate from future Mega Evolution plans.

Charizard's nature determines its form with Charizardite. Mewtwo and Greninja use different items. Removing the item returns the Pokemon to its ordinary form as described in the source mechanics.

Since English RC6, Boldore → Gigalith changes to Lv. 35 and Gurdurr → Conkeldurr to Lv. 40. Evolution moves are offered at evolution; earlier evolved Pokemon can use the Move Reminder. English RC8 fixes Petilil’s daytime Black Belt evolution into Hisuian Lilligant and enables Bag use of Ice Stone and Dragon Scale. Other USE-enabled items remain unobtainable where marked.
